Ring in 2009

New Years Shmew Years, I hate New Years. Well, that's not completely true, actually the best thing that ever happened to me happened on New Years Eve; it was the night I met my husband 14 years ago. What annoys me about this "holiday" is the hype about resolutions. It's advertised and promoted that this is the time to make changes, to better yourself, improve your health, your finances, lose weight.... well it's not, or at least it's not the only or ideal time.

Mrs. Murphy doesn't mess around, I'm going to give it to you straight, you can change any situation any day of the year. What it takes is desire, motivation and prayer. Make a plan, write it out, keep it posted on your cork board or you fridge. Have a buddy, put it on the schedule, keep a routine. There, I've laid it out, all the tools you need. So don't wait until New Year's Eve to "start", do it now, today, any day. Know you have the strength of Our Lord, of God, of Mary and St. Joseph and all the Angels and Saints on your side to help and guide you when you need it. Go for it, whatever it is!

God Bless,
Mrs. Murphy
